- Battery voltage is low at 11.3 volts and the PCM has fault codes for failed starts. The engine oil level is on the full mark. Charged the battery and rechecked. The starter engages, but will not rotate the engine. Found oil leaking from timing cover weep hole. Removed timing cover and inspected. The timing belt is contaminated with engine oil. Attempted to manually rotate crankshaft, but it will not move at all. Drained ~1 quart of engine oil & removed oil filter to inspect. Found very small metallic particles in the oil and filter. Additional tear down needed to determine cause of engine lock-up. Customer referred to dealer for possible warranty. Vehicle towed out of shop. *NOTE* The engine oil is low ~1 quart and coolant is low ~.5 gal from inspection.
