- Performed computer diagnostic test and found fault code P700 and P1915 – transmission control system. Confirmed fluid level and condition and monitored data. Found the engine control module bracket bolt had fallen from prior removal and was wedged between the transmission shift linkage and case. The was not allowing the transmission to fully engage into drive. Removed the bolt, cleared fault codes, and retested. The transmission is currently operating as designed and the check engine light is off.
- Includes: Inspect battery terminals and cables. Load test battery. Perform alternator output test and starter draw test. Perform parasitic draw test. Found the battery failed load test. Replaced the battery.
- -NOTE- When removing battery found battery cover bolt missing and lodged in transmission shifter linkage.
